Statistics: Russian coal output falls 1.8% to 34.9 mln tns in Jan
MOSCOW, Feb 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s coal output fell by 1.8% on the year and by 19.3% on the month to 34.9 million tonnes in January, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Production of anthracite coal fell by 10.1% on the year to 2.1 million tonnes, while the output of coking coal decreased by 8.4% to 7.8 million tonnes.
In 2022, Russia’s output of coal of all types grew by 0.4% to 437 million tonnes.
